Debrief.

“Oh my goodness, wow wow wow! We absolutely adore the  film. We have watched it about 50 times already!! It is absolutely perfect, you captured the day so so well. I honestly have no words, we are just over the moon with it. Thank you so much.”

So I won’t beat around the bush here, this was my first wedding film. I’ve been a wedding photographer for 15 years but I’ve been planning expanding into the moving stuff for quite some time.

I was lucky enough that Lucy and Ross put their trust in me to be a part of their special day, and special it was. I’ve always known that film is important. But in some ways, I didn’t realise how important until I sat down to edit. Everything we consume nowadays is so visceral. Adding movement, words, atmosphere reaches you on a level that still images can’t. Don’t get me wrong, I could show you a stills slideshow I have put together and you’ll be in tears for sure! But it’s the sense of reality that film offers, it’s more intimate I suppose.

Anyway, with the above words in mind, I suppose I should let the film do the talking. But incase you’d like to know, this was a beautiful day at a stunning venue. I’m lucky enough to have worked at Bredenbury Court on a few occasions and it’s truly magnificent. The building excitement in the morning and the fun and laughter throughout the afternoon was infectious and I walked away with a huge smile on my face!

Congratulations to the very lovely indeed Lucy & Ross.
