Any Questions?

DO YOU ENJOY YOUR JOB?

Ooooooh YES! Hopefully that is very obvious when you navigate your way through this site! You just can’t beat the atmosphere of a wedding – the sense of pure joy. On top of that, each wedding is totally unique. The light, location, weather, the people and their personalities – it’s all new. Imagine loving every minute of your working life! That’s me! Don’t hate me!

HOW DO YOU APPROACH A WEDDING?

Put simply, I listen to you. From the first chat that we have all the way through to the big day, I’m listening. I have a form that I send to couples which is based all around them. It also features a section ranking various elements of your wedding film out of 10. All these things combined give me a great idea of how to film your day for you. Each wedding is unique and in my opinion it needs to be captured that way.

Alongside this, the big day is all about being relaxed. You can see this in my work. Most of my day is spent on the outside of the wedding, watching and filming. But if you’re infront of my camera, I like to keep it light and fun, it’s your wedding day after all. It’s important that you are just, well, you! I’m not going to ask you to do anything you feel uncomfortable with. It’s the truth we are seeking, the real you, it’s not a performance. I’m not expecting you to do anything that you wouldn’t normally do!

WHAT ABOUT YOUR STYLE?

It’s a documentary affair. Like I’ve said in various areas of this site, my definition of documentary when it comes to wedding film is leaving you alone! Giving you the chance to enjoy your day to its fullest. Although there are some similarities, film is different to photography. There isn’t the need to arrange the family photographs for example. That offers the freedom of time to capture moments of your day that you won’t see and in my mind makes the end film extra special.

Speaking of photographers, working together is a key element to film. There will be a time to capture some couple footage of both of you, and it’s here where the film and photography can work together. I like to take a backseat, but will offer comment if there is something in particular I think will benefit your film. Photographers are used to working with film nowadays as film has become so popular. That said, I would hate to stifle the photographers creativity in any way, so sitting back and working in the background works best for everyone.

HIGHLIGHTS & FEATURES

So I provide a highlight and feature film for my couples. The highlight will be a shorter 3-5 min film and will provide you with a short hit of your day. It will feature music and overlayed audio such as speeches or readings.

The feature film will be much longer. It’s usually around 15 minutes and will thus provide a more in-depth look at your day. It’ll feature audio and music. Your ceremony will feature more heavily in this film, as will the speeches.

The style and overall finish of both these films will be similar to the others seen here on my site. If is very important indeed that you love this style as this is the style I will provide for you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE ILL?

Well, the first thing here is I’d have to be very very ill indeed to not be there. The benefit of being in the industry for so long is you meet lots of other videographers and it would be one of those friends that I call on to take the reins.

DO WE GET TO MEET YOU BEFORE THE WEDDING?

Sure! Before the wedding we have a wedding meeting. This can be either over FaceTime, Zoom etc or in person at a coffee shop or something. I’m a bit of a coffee nut so any excuse for a coffee is good enough for me!

DO YOU ASK FOR DEPOSITS?

Yes. There are three things I need in order to confirm a booking. The first is the booking form completed, the second is the terms and conditions signed and the third is your deposit paid. This is £300 and is deductible from your final balance.

“We are over the moon You captured some truly magical moments and would recommend your services to anyone!”
